for the same Journey is limited to the maximum benefits payable under one

Notice of claim must be given to Blue Cross within 30 days
of the expiry of his / her policy. All claims shall be made together with
satisfactory proof including reports from hospital, physician, police,
airlines or other responsible authorities. Claim form is available online

Can I extend the insurance period after the journey has commenced? |
| |
You can extend the insurance period subject to the following: |

- Apply for extension before the insurance expires, together with extra premium.
- Fill in the application form and send it to Blue Cross for underwriting and issue of certificate.
- Maximum number of days under cover, from the start of insurance period till the end of extended period, shall not exceed the limit of the plan selected.

Will I be under cover if I reach the age limit after application? |
| |
No benefit will be provided once you have reached the maximum age limit.
|

Can my child aged below 18 buy travel insurance alone? |
| |
The Insured Person under age 18 can buy travel insurance alone provided that the name of applicant should be his/her parent, guardian or an appointed third party.

To claim follow-up medical expenses, must I consult a local doctor during the journey abroad? |
| |
To be eligible for follow-up medical expenses after return to Hong Kong, you must have sought medical treatment during your overseas journey for the same sickness or accident.

If I cannot join the travel tour because my child is ill and admitted to a hospital, can I cancel the travel insurance and ask for refund? |
| |
The Insurance Certificate cannot be cancelled and no refund will be made after it is issued. However, under such a circumstance, you can claim the benefit of "Cancellation Charge" according to its terms and conditions.

Can travel insurance be taken out after the journey has commenced? |
| |
Travel insurance must be arranged and bought before the journey commences.

Can I claim the same benefit from 2 different travel insurers? |
| |
Except the benefits of "Personal Accident", "Hospital Cash Allowance and cash allowance of Travel Delay" and "Baggage Delay", the loss fully covered by another travel insurance policy will not be paid; if the loss is not fully recovered, the excessive amount can be claimed from Blue Cross up to the benefit limit.

Will the loss resulted from terrorist act be under cover? |
| |
Such loss is protected under the sections of Personal Accident, Medical Expenses, Worldwide Emergency Aid and Travel Delay etc., except the terrorist act by means of biological, chemical and/or nuclear attack.

If I encounter terrorist attack when travelling on a public transport vehicle, can I claim Double Benefits under the section of Personal Accident? |
| |
The benefits of Personal Accident are payable under this circumstance but not including Double Benefits.
