You are eligible to claim follow-up medical expenses after returning to Hong Kong provided that you have received medical treatment for the same sickness or injury during your journey. In case of emergency, if an insured person is unable to consult a doctor on the way back to Hong Kong, such as having a sickness or an injury in the airport or on the plane, the insured person should provide relevant evidence (e.g. proofs from the airline, tour escort, etc) for special consideration. |

If you are taking transit only at the Hong Kong International Airport and do not enter Hong Kong by passing through the immigration counter, the travel insurance is still valid. Your journey will be treated as finished upon your entry to Hong Kong, and therefore your insurance policy will be terminated. |

If I had an accident on the way to the airport before commencing the journey, would I be covered? |

Except for personal accident benefits which cover accidental death or disablement within 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time, all other benefits will be effective only upon commencing the period of insurance or after completing all departure procedures at the place of origin, whichever is later. |

Does travel insurance cover act of terrorism at the destination? |

Act of terrorism is a covered item in the policy. Personal accidents, medical expenses, worldwide emergency assistance, travel delay due to terrorist act will be covered (except for any biological, chemical and /or nuclear terrorist act). However, please note that travel cancellation or curtailment of trip caused by act of terrorism is not covered. In the event of unavoidable itinerary delay, the period of insurance will be automatically extended for a maximum of 10 days. |

Does "China Plan" cover Taiwan, Tibet, Macau, Inner Mongolia and Outer Mongolia? |

"China Plan" provides coverage for journeys in Tibet, Macau and Inner Mongolia. You can select either "Worldwide Plan" or "Asia Plan" for journeys in Taiwan but for journeys in Outer Mongolia, you should take out a "Worldwide Plan" only. |

It depends on whether the travel is within the designated Asian countries and regions or not. For travels not within the designated Asian countries and regions, you should take out a "Worldwide Plan". |

If I have purchased 2 travel insurance policies for the same journey, can I submit separate claims under both policies at the same time? |

You need not purchase 2 travel insurance policies for the same journey. The liability of the insurer is limited to the policy which provides the highest level of benefits. For example if you have purchased both "Worldwide Plan" and "Asia Plan", only the benefits under "Worldwide Plan" will be payable. |
