"Age" refers to the nearest birthday. If your next birthday falls within the coming 6 months from the application date, the premium rate will be based on your next age attained. Otherwise, it will be based on your current age. The policy effective date will be used to determine the age attained if it is different from the application date. |

"Day Case Surgery" means any surgery performed in a hospital setting that does not require in-patient admission, for example endoscopic procedures, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy, excisional biopsies, cataract operations, and laser operations. "Clinical Surgery" refers to surgical procedures that can be done at the attending doctor's clinic. |

These benefit can only be redeemed at Blue Cross-designated clinics or centres upon the commencement of a new policy or the renewal of an existing policy. |

The total amount payable with in respect of any one accident or injury or during any one period of insurance shall not exceed the sum insured. |

Only applicable to admission to private hospitals in Hong Kong. Upon the return of a completed Hospitalisation Pre-registration Form, 4 working days are required for registration and authorisation process prior to admission. The liability of Blue Cross (Asia-Pacific) Insurance Limited under the policy is limited to indemnify the customers for the eligible medical expenses payable in accordance with the Superior Medical Insurance. Blue Cross (Asia-Pacific) Insurance Limited shall recover from the customers the medical expenses settled by them on the insured person’s behalf which fall outside coverage of the policy (if any). |
