Outpatient Medical Insurance

Outpatient Medical Insurance promises to lessen the burden of health care expenses. In addition, it includes a wide range of general and specialist consultation services plus preventive care and diagnostic tests, so your body can stay in tip top shape for life.

Extensive Coverage
General Practitioner Outpatient Services
By paying co-payment according to the selected plan, you can enjoy an unlimited number of general consultations at network doctor.

Specialist Consultation Services
Upon a network doctor's referral and settlement of appropriate co-payment, you can enjoy specialist consultation services. The maximum number of visits per year depends on the plan selected.
Free Preventive Care Check-up
If you choose Plan B, you will be entitled to one free preventive care check-up at an appointed centre on an annual basis. The check-up includes a basic physical examination and 3 of the following items:

Blood test (complete blood count)

Blood test (total cholesterol)

Blood test (triglycerides)

Blood test (fasting glucose)

Blood test (AST)

Blood test (ALT)

Blood test (uric acid)

Urinalysis
 
Diagnostic X-ray and Laboratory Test
Upon a network doctor's referral, comprehensive medical coverage including diagnostic X-ray and laboratory tests is provided. No co-payment is required if you choose Plan B.
Extensive Network of Doctors
An extensive network of over 500 doctors throughout Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and New Territories is available. Simply present your outpatient medical card and personal identification documents to obtain covered medical care at any designated network clinic.

Important Notes:
1 Each type of coverage is limited to one consultation per day. The network doctor reserves the right to charge extra for medication if, in the opinion of the network doctor, the prescription required is special and expensive.
2  No change of plan is permitted after the policy effective date and no premium will be refunded unless a written request for policy cancellation or termination is received within 15 days from the policy effective date. All reapplications are subject to individual underwriting.
3  The referral must be made by a network doctor and is valid for a period of 6 months from the date of issuance of the referral letter for each disability.
4  Diagnostic X-rays and laboratory tests include non-specialised X-ray investigations and laboratory tests performed as outpatient treatment upon the recommendation of a network doctor.
