How can the customer apply for "Golf Insurance"?
|
|
A: |
Customer can apply Golf Insurance through one of the following ways:

Complete an application form, pay the premium and return the form to any one of BEA branch OR |

Can a company apply this insurance for its employees?
|

A: |
Yes, it can. Nevertheless, each application form can only apply for one insured (employee) only.
|

Is there any occupational restriction for applying the Golf Insurance?
|
|
A: |
No, applicant of all occupation can apply the Golf Insurance except the
insurance would not cover the professional liability for professional golfers,
golf coaches, instructors or trainers.

If customer didn't join the golf club, can they apply the Golf Insurance?
|
|
A: |
Yes, they can and the field for filling "name and address of golf customer
applicant have joined as member" on the application form is optional and not
mandatory to enter.

How long does it take to approve/process the Golf Insurance policy application? When will the cover start?
|
|
A: |
A clean case needs 3 working days to process and a policy will be issued
thereafter. If it is a clean case, the cover will start as early as the date of
the payment of premium or the commencement date customer has requested and
stated on the application form after the date of payment made. If it is not a
clean case and additional information / document is required, the processing
time will be subject to the time for the insurance company to obtain all the
necessary information / document.

Can customer apply this insurance for others? (e.g. family member, friend)
|

A: |
No, the applicant must be the principal insured person, although he/she can
include the spouse and dependent children (aged 3-17 or up to 23 if they are
full time students) as the insured persons.

Premium Payment |

What kinds of payment modes and payment method does the plan offer?
|
|
A: |
Premiums of "Golf Insurance" can be settled by cash, cheque, credit card or
account autopay with the choices of annual, semi-annual and monthly payment
modes. Nevertheless, please be reminded that cheque and cash are not applicable
for monthly payment mode and for phone application channel, the premiums can be
settled by credit card only.

How can the customer change his/her correspondence address?
|
|
A: |
Customer can complete and return a Change Address Form to Blue Cross/ BEA branch
or he/she can send a written request with the change details.
|

Can the customer change the payment mode or payment method?
|
|
A: |
If the customer wish to change the payment mode, e.g. change from monthly to
annual payment mode, he/she can only make the changes at renewal and must inform
Blue Cross at least 14 days before the policy anniversary. If the customer wish
to change the payment method, e.g. change another credit card for autopay, the
new credit card direct debit authorization form must be submitted on or before
15th of each month in order for the new autopay to be effective on the coming
month.

Policy Renewal, Reinstatement & Cancellation |

How can the customer renew the policy?
|
|
A: |
Customer will receive the auto-renewal notice at around 6 weeks before the
policy's expiry month. For payment method by cash/cheque, customer has to send
the payment to Blue Cross/ BEA branch before the expiry of the policy. For
payment method by auto-pay, customer has to send the written instruction to Blue
Cross at least 14 days before the expiry month if policy renewal is not
required. Otherwise, the premium will be direct debited to the customer's
account.

If the customer's policy is lapsed, can it be reinstated?
|

A: |
No. Customer can apply for a new policy.
|
|
Q: |
If the customer wish to cancel the policy, how much premium will be refunded?
|
|
A: |
He/she needs to send us a written request with the original policy attached.
Please note that a short-term rate will apply and it is subject to a minimum
premium of HK$300 per policy, provided that no claim has been made during the
period of insurance and at time of submitting the policy cancellation request.

Claim Procedures |

When does the customer need to submit a claim request?
|
|
A: |
A claim request should be submitted within 14 days after the occurrence of an
incident that may give rise to a claim. In case of very serious event, immediate
notification to the company should be made.

How to submit a property loss claim?
|
|
A: |
Customer is requested to complete and return a Property Insurance Claim Form
which can be obtained from Blue Cross by calling our Insurance Service Hotline
at 3608 2928 to make request. All supporting documents, proof, and photos of the damaged / lost property
should be submitted for claim assessment. In some cases, a Loss Adjustor may be
appointed to assess the extent of loss or damage. Customer's full support and
cooperation to the Adjustor is able to ensure a smooth and speedy claim process.

How to submit a personal accident claim?
|
|
A: |
Customer can complete and return a Person Accident Claim Form together with the
original medical receipts and doctor report. In the event of death, original
death certificate and coroner's report have to be provided.

How to submit a "Hole-In-One" claim?
|
|
A: |
Customer can submit the bill of hospitality expenses together with a properly
authenticated certificate issued by a recognized golf club to Blue Cross for indemnity.

Is there any limitation on the coverage in regards of the location of Golf
Club/Course?
|
|
A: |
This insurance provides 24 hours worldwide protection, hence there's no
limitation imposed on the covering location.
|

What would be the eligible age limit for applying the Golf Insurance?
|
|
A: |
Adult: 18-65 (renewable up to age 70) Children: 3-17 or upto age 23 for full time students
|

Is there any excess incurred for filing a claim with the Golf Insurance?
|

A: |
This plan would not incur any excess.
|

Q: |
For the golf course referrals and booking assistance, is there any list for the
eligible golf course and can the hotline help to book for the golf course
outside Hong Kong?

The referral and booking services apply to golf courses/clubs all over the
world. Customer can simply call 24-hour hotline (852) 2862-0162 and quote the
name of the desired golf course in order to enjoy the booking service.

Q: |
If the damaged golf equipment is not owned by the customer but borrowed from
others or golf club, can the customer still file a claim?
|
|
A: |
Any loss of or damage to property belonging to or held in trust or in the
custody or control of the Insured Person or any member of the Insured Person's
family will not be covered.
|

Q: |
Would the medical expenses incurred by sun burnt during playing golf be covered?
|
|
A: |
This plan only covers the medical expenses incurred by accident. Nevertheless,
sun burnt would not be regarded as accident and therefore the medical expenses
would not be covered.

What is the meaning of recognized golf course/ driving range?
|
|
A: |
As long as the golf course/ driving range are registered under the local
government, they would be recognized and covered by this insurance.
|
