Why do I need to enrol for the "Domestic Helper Protection Insurance"?

When hiring an overseas domestic helper, a local maid or just
a part-timer, the employer shall enrol for labour insurance according to Employees’
Compensation Ordinance. Domestic Helper Protection Insurance offers 3 plan levels
to provide comprehensive protection to employers from employer liability and medical
expenses.

Does "Domestic Helper Protection Insurance" take effect from
the policy inception date?

Yes except Outpatient Benefit, Hospital and Surgical Benefit,
Loss of Cash Allowances and Dental Benefits are subject to 15-day waiting period
from the policy inception date.

Can I enrol for the "Domestic Helper Protection Insurance" for
a local maid or a part-timer?

A: |
Yes. Plan A of Domestic Helper Protection Insurance specially
suits for a local maid or a part-timer. Those employers enrol for Plan A are not
required to name domestic helpers at application, as we understand that there may
not be the same person of services. However, the employers shall provide sufficient
and satisfactory proof of the identity the domestic helper upon claims.

If employer wants to change domestic helper during policy period,
does he need to buy another domestic helper insurance for new domestic helper?

If employer wants to change domestic helper during policy period,
he does not need to buy another domestic helper insurance for new domestic helper.
He needs to inform our company the new domestic helper's name, date of birth, passport
no and health status in written notice.

Is there any age limit for insured domestic helper?

A: |
Yes. Insured domestic helper must be between the age of 18 to
60 starting from the policy effective date, and renewal up to age 65.
